Have you completed our Beginner Basics Course and looking to continue your Sewing Adventures?

Have you got solid skills, mastered the basics, but want to learn more?  

Want to start to learn to make your own clothes using stretch fabric?

Need to discover knit and stretch sewing?

Our Step 2 Knit Course will expand your sewing skills with new and fun projects. Learn more about working with pdf patterns, start using new fabrics, , learn about the love of knits and refresh your beginner learning lessons.  Our NEW Beginner Knit Wardrobe has a strong clothing focus where you learn to create and sew clothes for you!

This class is not a fitting class BUT we have chosen pattern that are very inclusive and cover XXS to 5XL.  We can only assist with small pattern changes and grading between sizes.  We will say that stretch sewing is much more forgiving than woven!

The projects include a easy sew t-shirt, leggings and a easy sew dress.  An overlocker is not essential but will give you the best finish.  If using a standard sewing machine then a walking foot is preferred to achieve a quality finish.

You will need to bring/supply:

• Your sewing machine although we do offer the use of studio machines if required
• Materials such as fabric, pattern and elastic for the class projects (the estimated cost of materials is $100). Details of these will be provided after booking.
• Some pattern will need to be purchased for this course
• Pins, bobbins, dressmaking shears, thread etc.

Skill level required:

This course is designed as the next step up for beginner sewers. If you haven’t sewn before take a look at our  Beginner Basics Course. If you have been sewing for a little while and would like to gain more confidence in your skills and learn a host of useful information then this is the course for you!  This course may require some homework should you fall behind the class.
