We are so excited to welcome Kate Marra from Sew Into Overlocking back to our Studio! Here’s your chance to learn from one of the best industry overlocker and coverstitch experts! Kate’s knowledge of these machines is second to none, and she loves to share her expertise in this area and break down the barriers and fears people so often have of using their overlockers and coverstitch machines. So join Kate and let's create and make in this one-day power session!
This workshop is designed to give you a better grasp of your coverstitch machine
or a the coverstitch side of your combination machine. A workbook will cover the
basics such as finishing in the round, reverse coverstitch, differential feed, and
decorative coverstitch and chain stitch. The last section of the workshop will be
‘focus on you’ use the time to have your questions answered, bring the problems
you have encountered, and we will work on getting better results. this is also an
opportunity to work with accessories such as binders, folders etc. Or use this
time to work on those techniques learned and explore fabric making and produce
a scarf/piece of fabric using up pieces of your stash of lightweight fabrics and
lots and lots of thread.
