Have you wanted to start your Freemotion quilting journey? Our new Masterclass with our amazing teacher Theresa will take through all the learning lessons to put together the basic of this fun and creative quilting technique.
Freemotion quilting is a technique where stitches are added by sewing in any direction on the surface of the quilt. This style of quilting is literally FREE, which means you have total freedom of movement of your quilt on your sewing machine.
This is different from all other ways you normally use your sewing machine. Normally you allow the machine to feed fabric forward using the little teeth called feed dogs that grip and move the fabric evenly. Freemotion defies these priciples and take you on a new journey.
Theresa will teach you about the basics of free motion. What to use, how to use the feet and your machine and how to get the best result.
All this can be done on your domestic sewing machine with the right tools and although the technique takes some practice to achieve a professional finish this Masterclass takes you on the first steps of learning and practicing the basics.
