Our Step 2 Course will expand your sewing skills with new and fun projects. Learn more about working with pdf and easy commercial patterns, start using new fabrics, more about inserting zippers, making bias binding and refreshing your beginner learning lessons.
The projects include-:
All about knit & woven fabrics and when to use them
Working with commercial patterns and PDF patterns
Sew a gathered skirt with pockets (Sizes XXs to XXXL)
Create a bias binding bag
Sew free flow pants using rayon fabric (Sizes 6 to 22)
Make sewing machine mat with bias and vinyl
Professional teaching in a fun and friendly environment
Fun and supportive classes in a airconditioned Studio
12.5 hours of sewing tuition in a group of up to 6 students
Weekly class notes supplied in pdf format
Your own links to the sewing projects and tutorials
Tea, coffee and biscuits to keep you going
You will need to bring/supply:
Your sewing machine although we do offer the use of studio machines if required
Materials such as fabric and elastic for the class projects (the estimated cost of materials is $80). Details of these will be provided after booking.
Pins, bobbins, dressmaking shears, thread etc.

This course is designed as the next step up for beginner sewers. If you haven’t sewn before take a look at our Beginner Basics Course. If you have been sewing for a little while and would like to gain more confidence in your skills and learn a host of useful information then this is the course for you!
